Turtle Stacking
Exotic animals as status symbols? Sadly, nothing unusual in Dubai. While some show off big cats in their driveways, this gentleman seems to have a penchant for turtles – he’s stacked several on top of each other. A curious sight, but probably not so much in the animals’ best interest.
Although turtles sometimes stack themselves in the wild, this looks more like a human idea. One can only hope that they are kept in a species-appropriate manner – after all, many turtle species are threatened with extinction.
