#34: Black Tea
Black tea from China is widely enjoyed, but it is not always clean. Some samples contain pesticide levels above global safety standards, which may cause nausea or long-term health problems. Poor storage also allows mold or fungus to grow during shipping.
Mold spores can survive boiling water and enter your cup. Some sellers also mislabel low-grade tea as premium. Without strong oversight, quality becomes hard to trust. While tea is usually a healthy drink, contaminated batches make it risky.
