#39: Cooking Oil Blends
Chinese cooking oil blends have faced scandals involving recycled “gutter oil.” This oil is made from waste collected from restaurant drains. It is filtered and sold as new oil, despite containing carcinogens.
Some blends also include lubricants or other industrial byproducts. These substances are not meant for human consumption and can damage internal organs. Cheap oils may appear clean and golden but carry invisible toxins.
