Got restless legs? Midnight toe cramps? Feel like your legs are auditioning for a breakdancing competition while you’re trying to sleep? Slide a bar of soap under your sheets, near your feet. No, it’s not witchcraft. Okay, maybe it is. But people swear it works.

Supposedly, the mystical presence of soap can soothe all kinds of nighttime leg chaos. Nobody knows why—but neither do we know why cats freak out over cucumbers. Point is, if it means sleeping like a log and not waking up smelling like Bengay, we’re all in. At the very least, your bed will smell like a spa instead of regret and chip crumbs.
