Six Flags Theme Park

This is the abandoned Six Flags theme park in New Orleans East. It was closed in 2005 in preparation for Hurricane Katrina. Sadly, it never reopened. This photo, taken by drone two weeks after Hurricane Katrina, shows how most of the park was submerged at the time. The forces of nature turned a place of joy into a silent, flooded ghost town.
