Guatemalan Sinkhole


In 2010, Guatemala City was hit by Tropical Storm Agatha, which led to the appearance of this terrifying sinkhole. The sinkhole was approximately 65 feet in diameter and about 300 feet deep. It looks truly frightening, and what’s even scarier is that sinkholes occur frequently in Guatemala City. This photo captures the sheer, unnerving perfection of the hole, as if some immense force punched straight through the earth.
