The Slenderizing Cage
You’d step into a metal cage with a vibrating floor and padded bars that jiggled your limbs. The machine promised “total body reshaping through cellular stimulation.” Sound impressive? It wasn’t. Users looked more like they were being mildly electrocuted than exercising.
Though safe in theory, the jarring movement caused nausea, disorientation, and even joint issues. It was eventually banned from some salons due to the number of clients walking out looking—and feeling—worse than when they entered. It’s now a rare collector’s item in fitness museums.
