Airport Runway Bird Chaser
Believe it or not, some airports employ people just to chase away birds from runways. These bird control officers use everything from honking horns and pyrotechnics to trained falcons, all in the name of aviation safety. Sounds thrilling, but most of the time it’s just yelling at seagulls who really couldn’t care less.
The birds always come back, making it feel like a never-ending feathery war. And when your biggest work accomplishment is “successfully scared off a stubborn pigeon,” you start to wonder if your degree could’ve taken you somewhere less… squawky. Still, someone’s gotta protect those turbines.
