“Are They Wearing Makeup?”
A recurring question Jaqi encounters is whether or not the girls wear makeup. Some people express concern that they’re too young for it, fearing that the modeling world is pushing adult standards onto children. Jaqi acknowledges these worries but assures everyone that the girls wear only minimal makeup—and only when necessary for a shoot. The use of makeup is always age-appropriate and handled professionally.
She went on to clarify, “In almost every job the girls book through their agency, or any professional photo shoot they attend, there is a hired hair and makeup artist on set. Why!? Because that’s how the industry works.” It’s a part of the job, but never something that overshadows the girls’ natural beauty or innocence.
