You might not know that Air Force One had a baby. But it’s not another airplane, it’s an entire government department. The Department of Homeland Security was created while President Bush was flying back from a trip to Berlin on Air Force One. It was founded in response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and has been responsible for things like counter-terrorism, immigration, border security, and cybersecurity ever since.

So it’s like an interesting “baby” that was born out of Air Force One, but also a pretty big and controversial one at that.
