Dubai During Lockdown

Dubai is undeniably one of the busiest cities in the world. However, the global health crisis led to the lockdown of many bustling cities, including Dubai. What emerged was a sight no one could have ever imagined: roads completely devoid of cars.

This drone photography is by photographer Bachir Moukarzel, who has been doing aerial photography since 2014, and was taken as part of a project called “The Lockdown Dubai.” The photograph shows highways and major roads completely deserted, making it look like an abandoned city. Now that the city has reopened and health and safety regulations have eased, such photographs are unlikely to be seen again.
