Windsor Bridge (Gibraltar)

The Windsor Suspension Bridge was officially opened on June 21, 2016, by government officials including the Chief Minister of Gibraltar, Fabian Picardo. The bridge’s engineering was handled by a company called Bovis Koala, and it’s 71 meters long. When visiting the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, the stunning views overlooking the Bay of Gibraltar and the city are a must-see. Definitely not for the faint of heart!

The Windsor Bridge is located between two batteries on the Royal Anglian Way, one of several footpaths enjoyed by explorers and hikers. You may feel some swaying when crossing the bridge, but locals assure you it’s safe. The bridge is firmly supported by huge pillars. That’s why, even if there is some swaying when crossing the bridge, you can enjoy the sense of adventure and thrill.
