There’s a “No Reply All” Policy

A Dutch e-commerce firm banned the use of “Reply All” in internal emails after one too many email chain disasters. Violating the rule leads to a lighthearted fine that goes into the office pizza fund.

This seemingly minor rule dramatically cut down digital clutter and passive-aggressive group emails. Instead, people communicate more thoughtfully and directly. The pizza fund, ironically, grew so fast from fines in the first year that the team now has bi-weekly pizza parties—funded entirely by bad email etiquette.
