And go it did—clawing, climbing, and emerging from the cobwebs and chaos looking like it had been through a war. Fur disheveled, eyes sharp, paws covered in who-knows-what. Maybe injured, definitely proud.
The humans were impressed, the cat was victorious. The basement stood no chance.
