Haircut and Tooth Extraction, All in One Visit

Imagine going in for a haircut and leaving with a freshly pulled tooth. That was completely normal centuries ago when barbers were also the neighborhood dentists and minor surgeons. They didn’t just style hair: they also extracted teeth, performed bloodletting, and even applied leeches as part of basic medical care.

It might sound strange today, but back then, barbers were considered skilled and all-around professionals. Still, the thought of mixing haircuts with tooth extractions in a single session is enough to make anyone’s hair stand on end.
